The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Bataan Provincial Office has selected the Mayor Carlos L. Sarreal Public Library and Learning Hub as the pilot, meaning the first Local Governance Resource Center at the barangay level not only in Bataan but for the whole of Region III. This was disclosed by Mariveles MLGOO Haidee Balicolon to Punong Barangay Jester Ivan Ricafrente. DILG officials is set to visit the public library next week.
Focused on achieving its goal to further enhance capacity of local government units through the LGRRCs, the LGRC project supports collaboration, convergence and multi-stakeholder participation in local governance to encompass all other areas for support fostering Knowledge Management, Institutional Development, Team Development, Capacity Development Programs and Services, ICT Development, Networking and Participation, and Monitoring and Evaluation.
